Nigel Pearson will look to Blackburn goalkeeper Mark Bunn to solve his mini-crisis, Vital Leicester understands.
First choice goalkeeper David Martin injured his ribs in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Swindon, and was replaced by youngster Carl Pentney for 20 minutes.
With Paul Henderson also sidelined with a lengthy injury, Pearson is expected to look at Bunn on loan until the end of the season.
Bunn, 24, was snapped up by Blackburn earlier in the season from fellow League One side Northampton Town.
An official announcement is expected later.
