Bristol Rovers manager John Ward has confirmed that Leicester have turned down a bid from them to turn Cian Bolger’s loan into a permanent deal.

Ward said to BBC Radio Bristol.

‘We’ve bid for Cian to bring him in but Leicester have turned it down. I’m not sure if we can go and improve on that bid at the moment.’

If Leicester aren’t willing to let him go permanently yet, seems the ideal time to make the loan spell permanent until the end of the season as Bolger hasn’t played as often as he’d have liked due to injuries during this most recent spell.
