Brentford are said to be closing in on the signing of Leicester midfielder Nicky Adams, according to Sky Sports.

Adams has struggled to find first team football with City since his switch to the Walkers two years ago, and now looks to be set for a switch to the League One side.

The 23-year-old made just 10 appearances for the Foxes last season, but impressed whilst on loan with Leyton Orient in his brief spell at Brisbane Road.

A host of clubs are thought to have shown significant interest in signing the former-Bury man, but it appears as though Brentford currently lead the way for the midfielder.

A fee is yet to be agreed for the player but talks have begun and a deal is expected to be ironed out soon.
