Cardiff manager Dave Jones is facing a striker crisis, with three of his star forwards doubtful for Tuesday’s trip to the Walkers Stadium.

Michael Chopra is definitely out of the clash with an ankle injury that will rule him out until November, while Craig Bellamy and Jay Bothroyd are doubts.

The latter pair missed Saturday’s victory over Hull, with on-loan Wolves striker Andy Keogh deputising on the front line in their absence.

Bellamy is suffering from a knee injury, but Jones insists that there is nothing major to worry about.

“It is not a serious injury with Craig,” the Cardiff chief said.

“There us nothing wrong with his knee structure but he does have a bit of fluid. He has had an injection to help it settle down.”

Meanwhile Bothroyd is nursing a calf injury and looks set to watch on from the sidelines at the Walkers.

The Bluebirds are notorious for their fearsome attacking line, and have began the season true to pre-season predictions with an impressive five match unbeaten streak.

But injuries against the Foxes may be the slice of luck Paulo Sousa needs to kick-start Leicester’s disappointing season.

The two sides met in the play-off semi-finals last season, when Cardiff won a thrilling encounter in dramatic style on the lottery of penalties.
