Bakayogo Heads Out On Loan

Left back Zoumana Bakayogo has moved to Yeovil Town on a month long loan deal to get him some first team games under his belt again.

The 27 year old joined us in the summer on a free transfer from Tranmere Rovers, but is yet to make his league debut for the club (two appearances in the League Cup), so the chance to get some regular action at Yeovil is a good opportunity for the player given the lack of his match action so far this season.

Yeovil are 23rd in the Championship at the moment on 17 points, five points adrift of safety in the division, and they will no doubt be hoping Bakayogo’s extensive experience will help them sure up their defence and pick up points over the next month to help drag them clear of the drop zone.

The loan is initially for a month but if all goes well you’d think it would be extended, if not to the end of the season, but for the maximum of 93 days I believe so he can get a really good run of games, and of course after the initial month for our own protection we would be entitled to have a 24 hour recall clause built in should we require him in a way we haven’t so far this season.
