With massive thanks to Dazza71 from Vital Leeds, it appears Schmeichel points to growing problems at the club.

1 – How disappointed are Leeds fans to see Schmeichel move on?

I am more disappointment in Leeds lack of ambitions and seemingly pleased attitude to sell him to a fellow championship club.

2 – How much are you going to miss his presence on the pitch, I’ve seen Grayson talking about replacements but unless I’ve missed something only Rachubka has come in so far, will he fill the gloves or do you think he’s a better option than Kasper for you?

He`s still young and a long way from the finished article. As the season wore on, he got worse in my opinion. When he started last August, he commanded his area, was off his line in a flash and was a brilliant shot stopper.

He was out injured for a while and in his first game back, he got into a mix up with a defender that saw Leeds go one down. He never seemed to recover from this.

Got more and more withdrawn as the season went on and only showed glimpses of what we saw in the first month of the season. He had the odd good game. Like those against Arsenal in the cup but was more often than not disappointing.

I think we must bring in a better keeper than Rachubka and this is no disrespect to him. Leeds fans were promised quality signings rather than quantity this summer. So far only he has joined, whilst regular first team players, Schmeichel, Kilkenny and soon to be, Johnson have left.

Where is our ambition when two players have moved on to fellow championship sides and it`s extremely worrying when Kilkenny joins a club that he says is ‘showing ambition,` and that club is Bristol City!

3 – The move seemed to go sour in the press, culminating in Bates’ comments, how has that gone over with fans. Do they side with the club or feel Schmeichel was treated a little harsh?

I think the fans feel for Schmeichel. We all know what Bates is like; he has not changed in the best part of fourty years in the game. Basically do as I say or else. I think the way that Schmeichel was dealt with by Leeds was disgusting.

4 – Maybe ties into the above, it seems the move came around because Kasper wouldn’t sign a new deal, although he was going to see the season through. How have fans reacted to that, or is there a sense of understanding that he’d stay if you achieved promotion?

I personally think Leeds have made a rod for their own backs. In the past two seasons, we have seen Beckford, Johnson and Kilkenny run down their contracts and allowed to leave on a free. By doing this, they are probably getting a much better signing on fee than they would if they were being sold.

As much as I feel sorry for Schmeichel in one respect, I do feel that he was using Leeds as a stepping-stone.

When we signed him, I asked the question, ‘why only a two year deal for a keeper of his standard`.

I wish him well but obviously not when he is facing Leeds.
