A second player goes as Hume joins Barnsley

The second player to leave Leicester this afternoon was Iain Hume, who like Richard Stearman, will carry on his career in the Championship next season unlike us.

A fee of £1.2m has taken the striker to Barnsley, and Simon Davey is more than happy with his capture as he explained to bansleyfc.co.uk ‘We’ve been tracking Iain all summer and I have been an admirer since his days at Tranmere.
‘Iain is a big talent who, at the age of 24, is just starting to come into his prime.
‘The staff here are excited about the chance to work with Iain and develop him even further. We all know that he will have a big impact at Oakwell.’

Where will the exodus end! This is the price we will pay for our relegation to League One. Hopefully Nigel Pearson can at least be given some of the money we are getting in to use on reinforcements.
